Beating Fraud and Building Trust with Europe's Food Detectives

When:

Thursday, November 27, 2025

Time:

5:00 PM CEST

Where:

Grand Central, Rue Belliard 190, Brussels

Meet the star scientists from Euronews series The Food Detectives, see live demonstrations of new technology and taste high quality produce from around Europe at this unique event celebrating the EU funded Watson project.

How do you spot fake olive oil and honey? What does a totally transparent cheese, beer or wine supply chain look like? And can you trust the fish and meat on your plate?

We'll discuss new technologies to boost transparency and traceability in food, the latest policy initiatives from the European Commission, and discuss the darker side of food fraud with a criminal expert from Interpol.

The event, hosted by Euronews science correspondent Jeremy Wilks, will take place in front of a live audience in Brussels and shared worldwide on the Euronews YouTube channel.

Join us as we explore the EU's Watson project and enjoy a free tasting session!
